What is Non-Emergence Medical Transportation (NEMT)? 

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) is a specialized transportation service designed for individuals who do not require immediate medical intervention but do need assistance getting to and from healthcare appointments.

Unlike an ambulance, which is used for life threatening situations, NEMT is a pre-scheduled service for people who face barriers to traditional transportation such as physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, or a lack of a private vehicle.
